Yugapurushan is the upcoming film in Malayalam which is expected to be released on January 2010. The story of film Yugapurushan is based on ther life and teachings Sree Narayana Guru.Yugapurushan is directed by R Sukumar whose previous projects were Padamudra and Rajashilpi. Cast of Yugapurushan includes Mamooty ,Thalaivasal Vijay,Kalabavan Mani,Sukumari,Navya Nair,Salim Kumar,Siddique. Thalaivasal Vijay is playing the role of Sree Naryana Guru. Producer of the film Yugapurushan is A.V.Anoop and the music is done by Mohan Sithara.

What is unique is that the director is first and foremost a renowned artist – painter. that quality is reflected in the high level of detailing in every scene and he has given a good & fair account of life during the period of the sage.
That Narayana Guru was an enlightened and sympathetic spiritual leader of all mankind is now forgotten as his teachings have been compartmentalized as that of an Ezhava Guru.
Yugapurushan is based on the change which has come about in the lives of Koran (Kalabhavan Mani) who marries Savitri Antarjanam (Navya Nair). It is the story of caste as an instrument of division, being thrown out. Mamooty as KC Kuttan had a major role in challenging the concepts of caste.
Sadly, we have to wait another generation for the next Guru. It will be in the form of a little device called the mobile phone. By opening up communication channels among the youth, it will hopefully see to the gradual elimination of the concept of caste.
